The Explorer Scout Section in Newcastle was launched with a camp at Kibblestone Scout Camp on 8-10 November 2002, when almost 20 young people took part in activities including canoeing, abseiling, archery and hovercrafting. Fireworks were provided on the Saturday evening by Newcastle District Scout Network.

Many thanks to EVERYONE who devoted so much time and effort to making this camp a success.
